Share & embed

One snippet, six ways to show up

Copy the snippet from the Share tab, paste it once, and choose the mode. Respondents never log in. The embed talks to its parent page with origin checks, so your site only hears from your own form.

The six modes

Choose an embed mode

Inline (standard). The form sits inside the page like any other section.Full page. The form is the page.Popup. A button opens the form in a centered modal.Slider. The form slides in from the side.Popover. A small launcher in the corner expands into the form.Side tab. A tab on the edge of the viewport opens the form.

No website required

Every published form has a short link and a QR code for print, slides and signage.

Short link

This code opens getalphaforms.com.

It fits on a phone

Embeds are checked at a 390-pixel viewport with no horizontal overflow. File uploads and drawn signatures work from a phone embed too.

Your visitor decides

Google Ads and Meta conversions fire only after a response is saved and only with consent. Pass your own consent decision into the embed, or let the form ask on the last question.

The snippet

Take the real snippet from your form’s Share tab. This one shows the shape.

<div data-alphaforms="YOUR_FORM_ID" data-af-mode="standard" data-af-height="640"></div>
<script src="https://YOUR-WORKSPACE-HOST/embed.js" defer></script>

Tell the page what happened

The embed emits an event with the form and response IDs when someone finishes, and can redirect the parent page, the frame, the tab or a new tab.

const form = document.querySelector("[data-alphaforms]");
form.addEventListener("alphaforms:submitted", (event) => {
  const { formId, responseId } = event.detail;
});
data-af-redirect-targetOpens the ending link in
_parentThe parent page
_selfThe frame
_topThe tab
_blankA new tab

Build the form once. Let it do the chasing.

Create your workspace, write the first question, and connect the first system. The rest of the week is yours.
